Harvest Gold Futurity
General Rules and Regulations

 

 

 

  1. The Harvest Gold Futurity is a Quarter Horse only futurity.

  2. Resulting foal receives a free entry into the applicable Weanling Halter Class.

  3. Stallion owner receives one free entry (NON-TRANSFERABLE)into any Futurity class, to be used the year the stallion is nominated and paid.

  4. Stallions may represent themselves but must be at least 2 years old.

  5. Futurity entry fee is $100.00 per class, post entries accepted up until the class time.

  6. Entries must be shown all three days to be eligible for Futurity winnings.

  7. Entries may change handler from class to class during the Futurity.

  8. Warm-ups for Futurity classes will take place immediately prior to the class.

  9. Longe line will be judged under NSBA guidelines.

  10. Offspring sired by stallions that have been sold, gelded, or withdrawn may pay a one-time nomination fee of $150 in order to remain eligible for the Futurity.

  11. Offspring sired by stallions that are deceased will remain Futurity eligible at no additional cost to the owner, as long as the offspring is the result of any paid up year of the deceased stallion.

  12. Early and Late Division for the Weanling Halter Futurities will be split by the number of horses in the class; ie. 20 fillies in class, 10 will be in the Early Division and 10 will be in the Late Division. If there is an odd number of entries, the extra entry will be placed in the Early Division.

  13. Foals in the Weanling Halter Futurities will enter the ring by age, oldest to youngest, and the judges will be advised of such.

  14. All Weanling Futurity entries will require registration papers for proof of age.

  15. All Futurity entries are required to enter the corresponding AQHA class with the exception of reining with the exception of longe line where the futurity class will be run separatley.

  16. All owners and exhibitors must be members of the Saskatchewan Quarter Horse Association.
