Grassroots Program

Several years ago, SQHA was trying to find a way to help provide youth with an introductory show experience.  Something not just for youth with a registered American Quarter Horse, something not too expensive, that provided them with the chance to compete in a show environment.  What we came up with was the Grass Roots Division.  Criteria for this division is as follows:

♦    For youth 18 years of age & under who have not previously won any points at a breed show.

♦    May show any breed of registered or non-registered horse

It's as simple as that!  Five Grass Roots classes are offered:

        ♦    Showmanship

        ♦    Hunter Under Saddle

        ♦    Western Pleasure

        ♦    Western Horsemanship

        ♦    Trail

Classes are offered at all circuits.

New for 2010!

A fee of $3 per class will be charged for each Grassroots class,

along with your stall fee.

For those horses currently stabled at the Moose Jaw Exhibition the stall fee shall apply.
